html in the real world

This obviously represents the time feature of html coding.  Very useful now that html5 has returned it.
This is an example of Russian propaganda, but in html language it is an image.  Unfortunately images have become obsolete in today's html programming language.
As much as my wife would like to think that this is an ol, I assigned it to the ul feature because it's not organized at all other than they all sit on the same shelf.
Here we see a quotation, a mighty good quotation at that.
The p command is the most used in html programming.  Paragraphs are literally everywhere.

Weapon of Choice...VIM

Like I had mentioned earlier, I have used Linux for a few short years.  It gave me just enough time to explore VIM as a text editor.  It was nice to use for my programming class in college.  However, I didn't have enough time for that class, so I dropped it and had to say goodbye to VIM for a while.  This recent journey to programming apps for my Blackberry Playbook has brought me back into contact with a long, lost friend.  Hello VIM and I won't let you go this time.  What's next?

Writing html by Hand

It took me 3 times to get it right.  The programming that was locked away in my brain came back to me pretty quickly, so I didn't find it too difficult to write.  Bring on the next challenge I say.

Reasons for Learning more about Programming

With the recent purchase of my Blackberry Playbook, I realized that the choice of applications in its marketplace was minimal in comparison to other platforms like iTunes and Android.  Also, I am starting my own business in a number of months and being able to write webpages for that business is of utmost importance.  I have taken a number of programming classes in school, but I found little use for them because they didn't have any application for me.  Now that I have these two avenues to develop my knowledge and learning, I will be able to not only better my future but also those around me and on the web.  For now, it is only the beginning of my trek.  Let's see where I end up.
